Preparing our Graduates

At Windham Woods School, our goal is to prepare students for the world after 12th grade. For many of our students, this looks like a four year college to pursue a specific area of interest or a liberal arts degree. For other WWS graduates, the route may include a gap year to begin working in a field that excites them as they think about whether college makes sense. We have seen a significant trend over the last 5-10 years for colleges to waive SAT scores and class rank as part of their admissions process. Our Mastery Transcript helps students build an online portfolio of the skills they’ve acquired throughout the coursework at WWS and is an instrumental tool in helping our seniors decide what to pursue upon graduation.

Regardless of the choice our seniors make about their path beyond graduation, through hard work in challenging upper school classes, internships, college visits, and many leadership opportunities, WWS students graduate able to CONFIDENTLY ADVOCATE for what they want in an environment that suits their needs and one in which they can CONTRIBUTE TO GREATLY.
